Using the power of video, The One Minutes aims to contribute to creating spaces for free expression, collective imagination, and global solidarity in our different yet deeply interconnected realities.
Every two months, The One Minutes releases a new series of one-minute videos, exploring how we perceive and engage with moving images. This year, KISFF presents 'Voices to be heard,' three series focused on solidarity, collectivity, and equitable representation, amplifying the voices of diverse bodies and minds, including neurodiverse and disabled people, The Earth, and queer people.
WE NEED NEW SUPERSTARS
This series of 21 films, curated by No Limits! Art Castle, advocates for a new range of superstar identities with diverse bodies and minds, including neurodiverse, disabled, sex-working, queer, animal, and even scarred individuals as superstars. It raises questions about what to do when you are a superstar with panic attacks and whether your teddy bear can also be a superstar.
IMAGINE THE EARTH IS YOUR LOVER
A record of the ecosex movement. In Imagine The Earth Is Your Lover, curated by Annie Sprinkle and Beth Stephens, artists and filmmakers visualise their mad, passionate and fierce love for the Earth, shifting the metaphor from ‘Earth as Mother’ to ‘Earth as Lover’ to create a more mutual and sustainable relationship with the Earth.
FIXATIONS
The sexiest One Minutes series yet, ‘Fixations’, curated by BUTT magazine, previews at KISFF, offering 25 minutes of turn-ons, submitted from Argentina, Belgium, Colombia, Germany, Iceland, Italy, Mexico, the Netherlands, Brazil, Poland, Serbia, Turkey, United Kingdom and the United States. BUTT magazine, a community hub for some of the most important conversations and unhinged dynamics in gay culture, has asked our communities what turns them on, what their obsessions are, and what fixates their bodies and minds. The response did not disappoint—with over 115 submissions, we've curated a hot mess of cum rags, a pasta-plated p*ssy, dark rooms, and wedgies.
